Most people will agree that steroid and sports began with the 1954 World Weightlifting Championships and the competitors noticed that the Soviets were taking steroids. From then on out, trainers and athletes began using and researching various ways to combine steroids and sports to get the most benefits for the least amount of side effects.

Steroids and sports began in the United States shortly after that with the development of Dianabol – a steroid that was more than just testosterone. Dianabol was soon the best and most available to help people who wanted to meld steroids and sports. It was so popular in terms of steroids and sports because this was the first successful drug to help athletes generate more muscle mass, and therefore strength and performance ability.

By the late 1960's the use of steroids and sports was fairly commonplace for athletes who wanted to be competitive. This is also when the complaints against steroids and sports began rolling in as well. At this point, the Olympics took the first step against steroids and sports and banned its usage by Olympic competitors. Because of this, people who wanted to use steroids and sports began to develop methods to pass the drug tests.

While many of the steroids and sports are common stories in Olympic, professional and collegiate sports, the amount of high school athletes using steroids and sports is on the rise as well. This is particularly disheartening because these instances of steroids and sports can really threaten the health of the adolescents who try to take them.

There are many people mixing steroids and sports regardless of the fact that the steroids are now illegal in the United States as well as the fact that the most sports organizations no longer allow them as well.
